Learn about the world’s oldest living cultures through events in the NAIDOC week calendar. The week of events is hosted by the National Aborigines Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) and seeks to promote and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia. There is typically traditional song, dance, dress and food. The highlight of the week is often the ‘earth oven’, in which visitors can try some tastey bush tucker. This even is ideal for young families, tourists, couples and individuals looking for an educative and fun day out.
